MAME compatibility notes
MAME preserves a huge range of arcade hardware, but browser cores support only part of that history. This page separates regular MAME2003-compatible sets from FBNeo-only drivers and modern boards that are not browser-ready. That distinction helps avoid the common problem of sending a game to the wrong emulator and showing a black screen.
When a new MAME title is added, the ROM filename and driver name must match the emulator expectation. Large 3D boards such as NAOMI or Namco System 256 are marked as unsupported in the browser until a reliable web core exists.
