The Game Boy Color used a custom 8 MHz Sharp LR35902 CPU (double the original Game Boy's speed), with 32KB of internal RAM and 16KB of video RAM. Its 2.3-inch reflective TFT color LCD screen displayed at 160x144 pixels. The GBC sold over 118 million units combined with the original Game Boy, making it one of the best-selling gaming platforms of all time. It maintained full backward compatibility with the entire Game Boy library.
