Littleroot to Mauville

Begin the Hoenn journey and earn the Stone, Knuckle and Dynamo Badges.

  1. Help Professor Birch, meet the rival and form a team before challenging Roxanne in Rustboro.
  2. Resolve the Dewford and Slateport objectives, then defeat Wattson after reaching Mauville.

Fallarbor, Mt. Chimney and Lavaridge

Follow both villain teams and earn the Heat Badge.

  1. Travel through Fiery Path toward Fallarbor, recover the Meteorite situation and climb Mt. Chimney.
  2. Descend Jagged Pass to Lavaridge and use Water, Ground or Rock attacks against Flannery.

Petalburg to Fortree

Defeat Norman, gain Surf and cross the weather routes.

  1. Return to Petalburg for Norman, then receive Surf and open Hoenn's water routes.

Chapter 4

Magma Hideout, Mossdeep and Seafloor Cavern

Stop both teams while completing the seventh gym.

  1. Follow the Mt. Pyre events into the Magma and Aqua hideout sequence, then reach Mossdeep.
  2. Win the double battle against Tate and Liza, obtain Dive and enter Seafloor Cavern.

Rayquaza and Sootopolis

Resolve the weather crisis and earn the Rain Badge.

  1. Reach Sky Pillar, awaken Rayquaza and return to Sootopolis for the story resolution.
  2. Solve Juan's ice-floor rooms without repeating a tile and use Electric or Grass coverage in the gym battle.

Cross Victory Road, defeat Wallace and enter the major postgame challenge.
