Complete walkthrough
6 chapters from the opening stage through completion.
Character and combat fundamentals
Choose a fighter and learn safe crowd control.
- Axel balances power and ease of use, Blaze controls space well, Skate is fast and Max trades speed for throws and damage.
- Keep enemies grouped on one side and move vertically instead of standing between attackers.
Reliable combo, throw and defensive-special use.
Stages 1 and 2
Clear the downtown streets and bridge without wasting lives.
- Pick up weapons only when the screen is controlled and preserve the knife or pipe for dense waves.
- Against Barbon and Jet, bait their approach, sidestep and punish the recovery rather than chasing.
Jet defeated.
Stages 3 and 4
Handle the amusement park, stadium and wrestler encounters.
- Use the stage depth to avoid motorcycle lines and environmental threats.
- Throw common enemies into tougher targets, then isolate Abadede before starting long combos.
Abadede defeated.
Stages 5 and 6
Cross the ship and factory while managing dangerous elite enemies.
- Knock enemies toward railings and walls without standing close enough to be surrounded.
- For Zamza and Souther variants, punish missed leap attacks and avoid attacking into their guarded stance.
Factory cleared.
Stage 7 elevator
Survive repeated mixed waves before the final headquarters.
- Stay near the lower half of the elevator so newly arriving enemies remain visible.
- Save the strongest weapon and health pickup timing for the final elite combination.
Elevator gauntlet complete.
Stage 8 and Mr. X
Climb the syndicate building and finish the final battle.
- Expect returning bosses, use defensive specials only when trapped and carry as much health as possible into the last room.
- Against Mr. X, move diagonally around gunfire, control his henchmen first and attack after his firing or charge recovery.
Mr. X defeated.
Secrets and field notes
Useful details for cleaner runs and full completion.
Vertical alignment
Most enemies attack horizontally. Moving slightly up or down is often safer than backing straight away.
Safe throws
A throw provides brief protection and can damage clustered enemies, making grabs central to crowd control.
Co-op spacing
In two-player mode, hold opposite sides of the screen so both players do not compete for the same attack lane.
Frequently asked questions
Fast answers to common progression problems.
Which character is easiest for a first clear?
Axel is a strong beginner choice because his speed, power and Grand Upper are straightforward.
Do special moves always consume health?
The defensive special normally costs health when it connects. Use it as an emergency escape, not a default combo.
Is co-op easier?
It can be, especially for crowd control, but partners must coordinate spacing and avoid accidental friendly hits.
