Complete walkthrough
6 chapters from the opening stage through completion.
Character choice and mansion opening
Choose Chris or Jill and establish the first safe inventory route.
- Jill has more item space and lockpick access; Chris has greater durability but a tighter inventory.
- Search the dining hall and west corridors, collect early map and key items, and avoid fighting every zombie.
First mansion key route established.
Armor Key and mansion puzzles
Open the central mansion network and gather required crests.
- Use item boxes to keep only a weapon, ammunition, healing and the active key or puzzle item.
- Clear statue, painting and room puzzles methodically, discarding keys when the game confirms they are no longer useful.
Route to the courtyard unlocked.
Courtyard and Guardhouse
Cross the exterior area and investigate Plant 42.
- Carry the crank and necessary healing through the courtyard while avoiding poison where possible.
- In the Guardhouse, drain the flooded area, investigate the chemical puzzle and defeat or weaken Plant 42 based on character route.
Guardhouse cleared.
Return to the mansion
Survive stronger enemies and open the final mansion rooms.
- Do not linger in hallways now occupied by Hunters; use the shortest item-box routes.
- Collect the remaining emblems and batteries while resolving the library and upper-floor objectives.
Underground route available.
Tunnels and laboratory access
Complete the underground sequence and descend into the final facility.
- Navigate boulder corridors carefully, defeat required threats and use the battery and crank route to progress.
- Return with the correct medals, open the fountain mechanism and enter the laboratory.
Laboratory reached.
Laboratory, Tyrant and endings
Unlock the final doors, rescue partners and escape.
- Use the MO Disks where required for the best rescue outcome, then complete the computer and power-room route.
- Defeat or evade the Tyrant, trigger the self-destruct sequence and reach the helipad with rescued characters before time expires.
Mansion escaped with the chosen ending.
Secrets and field notes
Useful details for cleaner runs and full completion.
Examine every key item
Rotate books, crests, medals and containers in the inventory; several transform or reveal hidden components.
Combat is optional
Many hall enemies can be bypassed. Save ammunition for forced encounters, Hunters and bosses.
Multiple endings
Which partners survive depends on rescue actions and route decisions made before the final escape.
Frequently asked questions
Fast answers to common progression problems.
Should I start with Jill or Chris?
Jill is generally more approachable because she carries more items and has the lockpick. Chris offers a tougher resource-management route.
Why does an item seem useless?
Choose Examine and rotate it. Many objects reveal a switch, inscription or second item.
Can I save everyone?
Yes, but the exact rescue requirements differ by character route and require completing optional partner objectives.
