Sonic The Hedgehog is a 1991 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It launched the Sonic franchise and helped establish Sega as Nintendo's major competitor during the 16-bit era.
Dr. Ivo Robotnik (Eggman) is capturing animals and turning them into robots! Only Sonic, the blue hedgehog with supersonic speed, can stop him by collecting the Chaos Emeralds.
